I am a lifelong learner. I taught English in Indonesia before moving to the United States in 2018. My passion for learning inspired me to return to school in 2020, where I received my Master’s Degree in Teaching English Learners.

I am a licensed EL (English Learner) teacher in Ohio with experience teaching kindergarten and elementary students whose primary language is not English. I also joined the LETRS training. This training teaches the skills needed to master the fundamentals of reading instruction – phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and language.

Having completed my intensive pedagogical training at the Ohio State University, I obtained my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) teaching license from the Ohio Department of Education in June 2023.

I live in Ohio with my husband and two daughters, love gardening and spending time with my family at our backyard. I also volunteer at a community center as an ESL teacher.
